The Festival Committee is very excited to welcome you to this year’s Festival ‘Yarraville Festival On Track’. This theme has been chosen because, for over 100 years, the heritage of the area has centred around the trains and the goods yards in Yarraville. Thus, we have been given permission to use the Trugo mural, located on the side of Creative House, as the logo for the Festival.

Trugo has been legendary in Yarraville for 75 years. Started in the Goods Yards in Newport by bored workers at lunchtime, it is played with a rubber ring and a mallet. The player swings the mallet between the legs to hit the ring to the other end of the pitch, between the posts. Teams consist of 4 people, and the winning team has the highest score. Trugo can be played by all ages and you can 'Have a Trugo' in the Village Car Parkfrom 11am - 4pm or at the Trugo Club, in Fehon St (behind Senior citizens Club) all day on Festival Day.

The Yarraville club is sponsoring a Treasure Hunt for the kids and we’ve produced a Treasure Map which can be found in shops in Yarraville village.

The finale on the Bendigo Bank Main Stage in the Pop Up Park will be a movie at 8pm called The General - a silent movie of Buster Keaton made in 1925 and accompanied by a 4 piece musical quartet. Bring your blanket and a chair and sit back and relax.

Note: Roads re-open at 11pm.
