Khaled Sabsabi spent his childhood in Lebanon and moved with his family to Australia in 1978, settling in multicultural Western Sydney. Sabsabi specialises in multimedia and site-specific installations, often involving people on the margins of society. Adapting to new technologies and new tools Khalad Sabsabi’s artwork is essentially about humanity and commonality. This award winning artist brings his acclaimed artwork, "99" to Auburn's Peacock Gallery for May & June this year – presenting a multimedia installation made between Australia and Syria.

This presentation is a highlight of the Autumn Colours Festival at Auburn Botanic Gardens on Sunday 25 May. Further exhibition activities include an artist talk on Sat 24 May & an Arabic Calligraphy workshop with Shaia Khia on Sat 21 June.
