International guest artist Theo Adams of Theo Adams Company, in collaboration with dance god James Welsby (Hex, Next Wave), and a cast of Melbourne based live art performance artists present a one off exclusive show in the intimate space that is Grant Street’s theatre.
Provocative London director Theo Adams flies into Melbourne for one explosive night where anything could and should happen. Founder of the self-titled Theo Adams Company - a London based collective of artists, dancers, musicians, actors and singers brought together from across the globe - 24 year old Theo opens up his pool of global talent to work with a raft of the Melbourne’s best creatives in an electric, transcendental experience. Theo will be joined by veteran company member and newly appointed beauty editor of i-D magazine, Isamaya Ffrench.

And so it begins, like a surreal flock of crimson flamingos, this family of unfamiliars unite to respond to their deepest values in the form of contemporary dance, lip synch, choral works and video art that explores romanticism, family and sisterhood.

The Theo Adams Company’s debut production premiered in 2008 in front of an audience of 4000 at the Tate Britain, London. They have since gone on to stage their work at some of the world's most prestigious theatres and art institutions as well as bridging fashion, art and theatre through major collaborations with the likes of Louis Vuitton, W Magazine and Liberty of London.

Make Up provided by MAC

"The Theo Adams Company combine references as diverse as classical opera, reality television, high camp and Greek tragedy. Directed by the self-taught Adams, the company brings together performers from a vast array of disciplines to produce often overwhelming productions that cut through the boundaries of stage play and performance art." AnOther Magazine

"Theo Adams creates a sensory spectacle with his indefinably cathartic artwork."
Dazed and Confused

"Theo Adams Company’s Cry Out, a visionary explosion of performance art. Fresh on the heels of a Louis Vuitton-commissioned installment in Tokyo, the Theo Adams Company brings to London an all-encompassing emotional experience that melds power ballads, classical scores, queer cabaret and expressionist dance into a mesmerizing and unforgettable work of art."
