Admission: One Shilling is the remarkable story of the lunchtime concerts staged by legendary British pianist Myra Hess in the National Gallery in London throughout the Second World War.

Devised by her great nephew, the award-winning composer Nigel Hess, Admission: One Shilling is an entertaining account of this unique venture, which ensured that Londoners were not deprived of inspiring music during these dark days.

The show features Olivier Award winning actress Patricia Routledge (best known to television audiences as

Hyacinth Bucket in Keeping Up Appearances) and performances by internationally renowned pianist Piers Lane.

Admission: One Shilling has captivated audiences in Britain and now tours to Australia for the first time.

Four performances only at Glen Street.
