A lot has happened to Amanda. A lot of things have crashed into her, made a crater and moved on, unaware of the hole left behind. She is under arrest for…well, for something, that’s for sure and, with the unwitting help of the arresting officers, Amanda leads us back through some of the major events of her life that have lead to here and now. Whatever and wherever that may be. Just what was it that she did?

The premiere of this new play by the multi-award winning writer, Mark Langham, looks at an old question in a new way. Are we born this way or did circumstances form us? The play also examines how we each disconnect ourselves from the world. It might be because we are scared, disillusioned or just scarred but we each have the capacity to run away from what we truly want and need. With characteristic humour and a direct line to the psyche, “Amanda” will not answer any of your questions but it might lead you to your own solutions.
