The Australian Logistics Council (ALC) is the peak national body representing the major and national companies participating in the Australian freight transport and logistics supply chain sector.

The freight logistics industry is a cornerstone of the Australian economy, generating 14.5% of Australia's GDP and providing more than 1 million jobs across 165,000 companies.

ALC's Annual Event, the ALC Forum, will be held at the Royal Randwick Racecourse from 19-20 March 2014.

The theme for the ALC Forum is Time to Deliver. Time to Deliver reflects industry's view that there needs to be a greater focus by all levels of government in 2014 to deliver on a range of major infrastructure proposals and long term freight plans to improve freight efficiency and build a stronger economy.

The program will feature high level speakers from across the industry and will cover industry relevant topics such as;

- Meeting the National Infrastructure Challenge
- Making Rail Freight Work
- Customers Driving Change in Logistics and Supply Chains
- Chain of Responsibility and Safety in the Logistics Supply Chain
- Delivering a Nationally Integrated Freight Logistics System
- Presentation on Inland Rail
- Logistics in the Resources Sector

Complementing the serious side of the Forum is the social component of the Forum with the popular ALC Annual Dinner and Forum Welcome Reception being held to provide attendees with the opportunity to make new acquaintances and renew old friendships.

As part of the Forum's program a Trade exhibition will be held showcasing some of industry's most unique products and services.

The ALC Forum 2014 is organised by and for industry and is a not to be missed event.
