Opening on the 75th anniversary of the start of World War II, Cut Lunch Productions presents Bent at Theatre Works – the powerful and little-known story of the persecution of gays, ‘The Pink Triangles’, at the hands of the Nazis.

Bent is an internationally renowned piece which has been nominated for a Pulitzer Prize and a Tony Award.

Directed by Eddy Segal (Reasons to be Pretty, 2012) Bent celebrates pre-war decadence and exposes horrific intolerance. But at its heart, this is a love story – one that takes place in the most unlikely of settings.

This show is confronting, but it is also celebratory. There are moments of tenderness, joy, and even a splash of cabaret. And throughout the turmoil we are assured that even in the harshest of environments love will endure.
