R&B icon and Grammy award nominated artist Brian McKnight is bringing his world tour to Australia in March 2014 across four cities. Australia has never witnessed a show like this from McKnight – he comes to Australia next year with a full piece band for the first time. One of the most respected R&B hitmakers, McKnight will be performing songs from his latest album ‘More Than Words’. Australian audiences should prepare to be wowed by an urban show like no other with the distinctive harmonious sound that is Brian McKnight.

A singer, songwriter and producer, McKnight has sold over 20 million albums worldwide. With a talent that spans across nine instruments, he has seven certified Platinum albums over the span of his career. McKnight’s work has earned him 16 Grammy Award nominations and seen him collaborate with some of urban music’s biggest names including Mariah Carey, P.Diddy, Justin Timberlake, Nelly and Australia’s very own Guy Sebastian. McKnight’s career has solidified him as a true icon in R&B’s constantly evolving music scene.

More Than Words is his 15th studio album to date, which includes a collaboration with Colbie Callat. The first single, ‘Sweeter’ debuted at #2 on Urban Radio when released earlier this year and features his signature heartfelt lyrics and melodic tempo. The album takes longtime fans back to the roots of Brian McKnight.

Returning from a 16 city US tour, McKnight will head to Australia before continuing on the road to Europe andAsia. Fans can always expect something different at each show with a set list featuring career cementing hits such as ‘Back At One’ and ‘Shoulda Been Lovin’ You’ mixed with new classics ‘Sweeter’ and ‘More than Words’. For Brian McKnight fans, this tour promises shows unlike no other with his full piece band that has never travelled to Australia with the artist before.

“It’s difficult because you always want to let your fans hear your new material, however fans aren’t coming to hear that material they’re just coming to hear all the classic songs they love. I always try to mix both and that keeps everyone happy,” says Brian McKnight.

Not stopping at just a career in music, the star has hosted his own morning talk show ‘The Brian McKnight Morning Show’ on popular US jazz radio station KTWV. With the show being highly successful McKnight went on the host another radio talk show ‘The Brian McKnight Show’ followed by a TV show with the same name.

Don’t miss out on the opportunity to see one of the greatest singer-songwriters of our time perform all your favourite R&B classics as well as songs from his new album ‘More Than Words’ when he brings his iconic urban musical style to Australia.
