An energetic and dynamic performer, Christie Lamb represents a fresh, contemporary era of Australian Country Music. Hailing from Sydney’s south west, Christie’s down-to-earth nature and performance ability has seen her perform alongside and for some of the industry’s best over the past few years.

As well as being a talented Singer/Songwriter, Lamb is also an accomplished multi instrumentalist, playing piano, guitar, mandolin and flute. With a Bachelor of Music behind her, Lamb’s career has seen her tour with the likes of Jon English, who introduced her to a wider audience through his ‘Rock Revolution Tour’. Fellow artists and music press alike have complimented Lamb’s notable music skills.

Her debut, self-titled EP was released in 2011, spawning the successful singles “Mr Wrong” and “Invincible Me”, both of which enjoyed Top 5 positions on the Australian Country Music Charts and placed Lamb on the radars of Country Music radio stations around the country, as well as their passionate listeners. It’s these listeners who Lamb has gone on to forge a strong bond with, and through her multiple appearances at festivals (Tamworth, Broadbeach, Ballina, Whittlesea, and Central Coast) and headline shows through these areas, Christie’s relationship with her fan base has only continued to grow stronger.

Named the ‘Most Impressive New Talent’ of 2012 by Country Music Radio Australia, Lamb took this momentum over to the US for the first time, travelling to Nashville and, amongst other things, showcased alongside Adam Harvey and O’Shea at the CMA Festival. The June trip saw Lamb work with some of the American industry’s best songwriters and establish connections which she would be able to further develop when she returned to Nashville for a second trip, this time to write in preparation for her debut album, All She Wrote.

Working with the talented Andrew Cochrane on the record, Lamb was able to tap into this past year of personal and creative experiences in forming a debut album to be proud of and finally release for her fans. Those who have seen her perform will be aware of the inherent vibrancy Lamb’s music holds and All She Wrote exemplifies this to a greater extent.

“Christie would definitely have to be one of the most intimate and yet exciting power singers I’ve ever worked with. She is dynamic! When she sings she has that rare ability to connect you emotionally and then she’ll go and pull out all the stops, belting out those bigger passionate notes with tone and conviction. In my opinion this defines her as one of our most versatile future contemporary country singers. She is a singer with finesse way beyond her 21 years.”   Andrew Cochrane

The album is perfectly representative of the artist Lamb is evolving into, one not bound by the stereotypes the Country Music genre usually affords – she is appealing to a wide audience because she’s fresh, fun and has a great sense of musicality. 2014 is set to be year where Lamb continues to turn heads; with an album release and more tour dates both confirmed and in the works, this next chapter in Lamb’s career is as exciting for the artist as it is sure to be for her music public.
