Comedy@ThePlayHouse returns to the Civic Precinct on Saturday 25 October with an all new two hour show of the best national and international comedians in Australia. This month we feature Sam McCool, Andrew Barnett, Craig Annis and Gareth Wasik.

Where has he come from, where has he been, where is he going? Come and enjoy the many faces of Sam McCool, Australia’s official and probably only ‘EmbRACIST.’ McCool is one of Australia’s most in demand comedians with sold out shows at the Sydney Opera House, McCool is a comic who impresses all audiences with clever charming delivery, quick wit and rapid fire punchlines. Sam McCool was also a semi finalist on Australia’s Got Talent in 2012, where the judges fell in love with his unique brand of comedy. Recently, Sam was invited to and performed for the UN’s 'Racisim: It Stops with Me’ which was part of their global campaign. Sam McCool travels and performs all over the world including exotic locations such as India, Vietnam and Scotland, however you’d be from another planet if you didn’t come out and play with Sam for this exciting Ruffhouse Comedy event.

The night will also feature one of Newcastle’s own in Andrew Barnett. Having spent time growing up in and around Newcastle, Barnett has developed into one of Sydney’s most sought after comics. His laid back style and brilliant observations resonate with audiences Australia wide, whether that be on stage or as part of the acclaimed ‘Blokecast’ podcast.

Rounding off the night is Star 104.5 FM breakfast announcer Craig Annis. Craig is one half of the duo Craig and Mandy, who host the top rating Central Coast breakfast show. Craig is also building a highly successful comedy career performing his solo shows at the Sydney Fringe and Sydney Comedy Festivals.

Your host for the night is Gareth Wasik who recently knocked back the funniest gig in the world, the chance to run for the seat of Newcastle. His album – Jesus Can’t Play Rugby was also no.1 on iTunes for 4 consecutive weeks.

Presented by Ruffhouse Comedy, a local Newcastle business, bringing Australia's best comedians to Newcastle.
