Affectors are pleased to present Common Sense, a collaborative exhibition of Australian and international artists taking place on May 2nd for one night only, at the Brand X Space, Level 3 of the new living Central Park Mall, opposite UTS. Affector events are at the forefront of Sydney’s thriving art scene, providing an accessible stage for all forms of creative expression including digital, interactive and traditional art.

Co-curator, Zoe Edema says, “Our events encourage curiosity and play, both within the audience and the artists who participate in the show. Our holistic approach appreciates the diversity and oddity of the creative journey, in what it provokes and expresses, how it is presented and the various ways in which it can engage the audience.” The last exhibition The Art of Storytelling was a huge success, transforming the back alleys of Paddington into a hub of cultural activity.

The exhibition, curated by Bec Aitken and Zoe Edema will showcase original work from artists represented by the prolific Drawing Book Studios, photographers from Lizard Studio, a highly regarded Sydney photography group and an extensive reach of exciting and passionate creative professionals. Combined, their practices span sculpture, illustration, digital and interactive art, 3D art, embroidery, film, photography, cuisine, gelato, textural music and cocktails.
