"a hit... a triumph... a zinger." The West Australian.

Creative Collaborations, by its own admission Perth’s hottest independent theatre company, presents the award winning show DIVA at Fremantle’s Fibonacci Centre, April 3-6, 2014.

DIVA played to sell-out houses at the recent Fringe World Festival, won The West Australian Arts Editor Award for the Best WA Production, was nominated for the Artrage Theatre Award and begins a world (air fares notwithstanding) tour at Fremantle’s Fibonacci Centre on April 3.

Writer and star of the show Tiffany Barton has only recently returned home to Perth having wowed New York critics with her other Fringe World success, Polly’s Waffle…
"This play is both startling and startlingly profound. It’s refreshing in this day and age to see a piece of theater that really takes advantage of what only live theater can be." NY

DIVA is a blackly funny and poignant one woman show about June, an eccentric, aging, agrophobic, libidinous New York Opera singer, who swills vodka, pops pills, and waxes lyrical with her stuffed cat Eugene and her trusty vibrator Mr Buzzy about the two great loves in her life: men and Opera. David Zampatti, reviewing for the West Australian described DIVA as…
‘Beautifully constructed with an absolute zinger of a climax…an affirmation of life, with all its heartbreak, darkness and obscenity, as powerful and beautiful as you’ll get anywhere…Barton is simply great as June. She nails her pungent Brooklyn accent, her fragile swagger and her tempestuousness perfectly. She has as impeccable collaborator in Helen Doig. Four and a half stars!”

Tickets: $20 full, $15 concession. A special dinner/show deal is available for $40. Fibonacci is unlicenced but you are welcome to BYO alcohol!
