Sydneysiders are invited to join Dymocks Children’s Charity (DCC) and a raft of stars at the 9th Annual Gala Dinner for the DCC Great Debate on Thursday 29 May. The event aims to raise much needed funds to assist the DCC in achieving their vision to change kids’ lives – one book at a time.

To Live for the Joy of the Moment is this year’s debate theme, and it will be hotly argued by Adam Spencer, Rob Carlton, Kristina Keneally, Lex Marinos, Verity Firth and Greg O’Mahoney.

Other guests on the night will include the Honourable Bob Carr, with the order of events facilitated by MC Emma Alberici from ABC’s Lateline. To round off what will be both an enjoyable and charitable event, Darren Percival from The Voice will deliver a special guest performance.

“Our aim at DCC is to make the joy of reading available to children across Australia, by giving them relevant and engaging books that will enhance their creativity and instil a long term love of books and reading; and ensure a long lasting effect on their literacy and learning,” explains Paul Swain, DCC People, Charity & Community Manager.

“We encourage those looking for a fun night out to witness a savvy debate of words and wisdom, while donating to a very worthy cause, to get their tickets now.”

A live and silent auction will include a fabulous selection of prizes from unique money can’t buy experiences to artworks, shows and exclusive autographed books.
