‘Hold Me Down’ is the second single from Brisbane Americana/Folk Artist Josh Rennie Hynes, taken from his new album, February.

Listen to ‘Hold Me Down’:

‘Hold Me Down’ is a story about a guy who regularly dreams of a certain woman, who he meets in various places throughout his dreams. The song ends, as the dream always does, with the girl saying 'I really wish you'd stay' signalling the end of the encounter for another night.

Following a packed launch of the first single ‘Erin’ at Dowse Bar in Brisbane, Josh will be heading out on the road to support the new album and single.

In late 2013, Josh Rennie-Hynes caught the attention of renowned ARIA award-winning Australian artist and producer Shane Nicholson. They began working on ‘February’ together, giving the songs the sound, life, production and professionalism that they deserved. His new full-length album marks the maturation of Josh, as both an artist and a songwriter.

Since releasing his previous self-titled mini-album last year he has played countless live shows right up and down the East coast of Australia, steadily building his fan base and working on his craft. He has built a loyal and ever-growing fan base in Brisbane, Melbourne and Sydney. He is a captivating festival performer and has played The Woodford Folk Festival, Caloundra Music Festival, Apollo Bay Music Festival, Wandi Swagger Festival and Tamworth Country Music Festival.

Josh has received high-rotation radio play on 98.9FM, staying in the top 20 for six consecutive weeks as well as spins on Triple J, community radio and ABC Radio National.
