Australian music ‘Royalty’, Kamahl, to end the 2014 Concert Series...
Kamahl is the name which, for over four decades has identified the music and unique voice of a man who is one of the most sensational recording stars in Australian history.
We are thrilled to have Kamahl at Redland Performing Arts Centre for the very first time, to perform a very special Christmas Musical Melodies Concert of Ballads and Christmas Carols to end the 2014 Concert Series.
The rich-voiced Malaysian-born Sri Lankan entertainer is one of Australia’s most popular performers and is best known for The Elephant Song. Some of his other hit songs include: Sounds of Goodbye, You’ve Got to Learn, I Just Make Believe You Love Me, Love Is a Beautiful Song, Guantanamera and Danny Boy. In this beautiful tribute to Christmas he will perform his most popular ballads as well as a selection of Christmas favourites.
Kamahl has performed at the London Palladium and Carnegie Hall, he was one of the first people to appear in concert at the Sydney Opera House, and in 1982 Queen Elizabeth II asked him to give a Royal Command performance in Brisbane for the Commonwealth Games, and he’s coming to Redland Performing Arts Centre for one day only – so make sure you don’t miss this special and heart felt Christmas show!
