Kite is quirky pop music hailing from Sydney, Australia. Kite is one part artist, singer-songwriter Jasmine Wilson, one part Kite, the band: Viet-Anh Nguyen (keys), Gaetan Frichot (bass), Alexander Reely (guitar), Jasmine Wilson (vocals), and Gilly Prinny (drums).

Kite wanted her name to encapsulate what music means to her: joy – purity – freedom. She thought about her childhood and flying kites was something that captured those feelings. This is what she hopes to create for people – music that taps into pure, heartfelt emotion.

People have described Kite’s music as similar to artists such as Feist, Annie Lennox, PJ Harvey and Tori Amos. Kite’s sound is both upbeat and mellow, dark and sweet, fusing simple pop melodies with a mystical quirkiness.

Kite’s debut EP ‘Kite’ was recorded and mixed at Studio 301 by producer Simon Todkill and mastered by Andrew Edgson. Kite’s debut music videos ‘Lost’ and ‘New Love’ were directed and filmed by Daniel Podbierezki and Julia Trotti.
