2013 Edinburgh Comedy Awards Best Newcomer Nominee
2013 Sydney Comedy Festival Best Show Award Winner
2012 Melbourne International Comedy Festival Best Newcomer Award Winner

After five solo shows and hours of stand up, multi award-winning comedian and Triple J Breakfast co-host Matt Okine is hitting the road for an extensive National tour during August and September.

Almost 12 months ago, Okine collected a highly sought-after prestigious nomination for the 2013 Edinburgh Comedy Award for Best Newcomer. It followed the Sydney Comedy Festival’s Best Show Award in the same year, and the 2012 MICF Best Newcomer Award in 2012.

As well as his broadcast career as co-host to Alex Dyson on Triple J’s national breakfast show, Okine has been seen recently on the small screen in ABC1’s This is Littleton, Dirty Laundry Live, and a stint as host of SBS2’s soccer show, ThursdayFC. Okine has also supported US actor/comedian Aziz Ansari on a national tour, and performed at the invitation-only Just For Laughs Comedy Festival in Montreal.

With all this you could expect Matt Okine to be awesome. He is. Don’t miss one of Australia’s emerging comedy stars on his solo National stand up tour.
