Naked Bodies is the new skin for Quang Dinh (ex-Little Red) and ‘Ride On’ is their first single from their forthcoming debut LP.
Over the past two years, Dinh has spent his time ravaging a Fender Jaguar and kicking his mind into overdrive by working with some of the best musicians in Melbourne - The venerable wild-man Cameron Potts on drums (Montero, Baseball, Ninety Nine, Emma Russack, Cuba is Japan), the unshakable Brendan West on bass (I Told You I Was Ill, The Polites, The Messengers) and the indomitable New York transfer Will ‘Coyote’ Lopez on guitar – together forming the primordial, ramshackle, hell-fire Naked Bodies.
It is time for the unveiling.
'Ride On' showcases their razorblade primal instincts with Dinh’s lyrical baritone, the unstoppable crack and crunch of Potts’ drums, the ceaseless momentum of West’s pulsating bass and Coyote and Dinh’s complimentary hook-laden feedback guitars. Stay tuned in September for the release of their terrifically eclectic debut LP, funded and backed by Arts Victoria.
Self-recorded by Naked Bodies in an industrial warehouse and mixed and mastered by Nao Anzai (Montero, The Toot Toot Toots (Twin Beasts), Ground Components).
