Zhivago is super excited to party into 2015 with two of Australia’s Super Producers, Swick (MELB) and Hatch (SYD), for an exclusive one night only live DJ set this New Year’s Eve on Wednesday 31st December, 2014.

Melbourne’s own Danny Omerhodic, better known to music lovers as Swick, has gained critical acclaim in the past few years from some of the biggest names in the business including renowned artists such as Diplo, Mike Posner, A-Trak, Skrillex, Crookers, Steve Aoki, RL Grime, Nina Las Vegas and AC Slater.

Swick’s signature production sounds comprises of tight drums, energetic synths and catchy vocal chops. Both his DJ sets and original tracks pull inspiration from a wide range of different musical styles. His prolific working nature has led to an arsenal of releases on labels like Mad Decent, Main Course, Enchufada, Dim Mak, Top Billin, No Brainer, Sweat It Out and more.

Last year Swick released a collaborative EP with Diplo titled “Keep it Gully” on Mad Decent as well as collaborating with Major Lazer, Astronomar, Lewis Cancut, Tkay Maidza, and Nina Las Vegas. He has also featured on the infamous BBC Radio 1 show “Diplo and Friends” as well as being included on the most recent NLV presents Australian tour. Just recently he wrote the music for Jennifer Lopez’s latest single ‘Booty’ featuring Pitbull. This young Aussie DJ and Producer is sure to turn heads not only now, but well into the future.

Since the age of 5 Sydney-sider Jeremiah Gorman, otherwise known as Hatch, has been perfecting his musical skills with years of classical training on the piano and violin. This intense musical background has served him well as now Hatch is emerging as one of the most diverse and emotive young Producers in Australia.

Hatch has enjoyed great success in the Australian Bass Music scene for many years under the moniker of “Pop the Hatch”. During this period he supported names like Rusko and Benga as well as being a mainstay at DEFQON1 with numerous releases on top labels such as Ministry of Sound, Top Billin and Play Me Records.

After a significant response from his “ReHatched” bootleg series and remixes for Danny T, Jam Xpress and Ben Pearce, the excitement for Hatch’s latest track “New Direction” (Onelove) released in Spring this year did not disappoint. Approaching every project with great introspection and articulation, whether it be on a remix or an original work, you too will be moved by the unmistakable sounds of Hatch.

Don’t miss out on being part of the Zhivago Crew festivities this New Year’s Eve with special guests SWICK and Hatch playing DJ sets on Wednesday 31st December, 2014 plus local DJ support acts from DJ Osyris and BottleRockets. Get in early to avoid missing out and get ready to party NYE style!
