Willkommen to Oktoberfest Brisbane – get ready, as you’re in for a German festival experience like no other in Australia!

Oktoberfest Brisbane, Australia’s largest German festival, is Brisbane’s most anticipated cultural event, and it’s easy to see why. Now in its seventh year, upon walking into the festival you could be forgiven for thinking you had instantly been transported to Germany, with attention to detail and authenticity that simply astounds. Add in that over 50% of people attending the festival get into the German spirit by donning traditional German dress, and you are in for a cultural treat.

The finest German fare including mouth watering German sausages, pork knuckles, schnitzels and pretzels, plus an array of sumptuous desserts including traditional Black Forest cakes, Bavarian cheesecakes, and apple strudels will send your taste buds into a frenzy. Not to forget decorated gingerbread hearts – one of the most popular German festival items for all ages. Enjoy handcrafted beers, including Oktoberfest Brisbane’s very own specially brewed beers imported from Germany especially for the festival. In the main Oktoberfest Tent you can dance the days, and nights, away to the traditional Oktoberfest band, Münchner Buam flown in from Germany, who delight both young and old with Oktoberfest tunes and popular German folk festival favourites. Yodellers, authentic German dancers, accordionist, leg-slappers and cowbell ringers complete the musical entertainment. If you’ve ever fancied winning a crown, you may also want to enter one of the competitions. Have you got what it takes to be this year’s Miss Oktoberfest Brisbane, Bavarian Strongmen, or Beardmeister?

Relax in the Munich Biergarten where you will be entertained by roving performers – and let the sights and sounds wash over you. Or meander the ‘Marktplatz’ (Market Square) and take in fashion shows, foodie tips, German books and German culture.
In the evening enjoy the sounds of the band drifting out to tables under the boughs of majestic Moreton Bay figs – twinkling with fairy lights at night.
Sunday is family fun day, with activities galore for the kids! They can chill out in the Kinder-Zone, enjoy the rides, the petting zoo and baby animals, face painting and puppet show.

And this year, on both Friday nights all rides are free!

Oktoberfest Brisbane is one of the Top 10 Oktoberfests outside of Germany welcoming more than 36,000 visitors last year. It’s an unforgettable German experience for everyone.
