To launch the arrival of the new season, Karrinyup Shopping Centre will be collaborating with young contemporary Perth artist, Linzi Carter, to create a ‘live’ floral art mural inspired by the new Spring Summer Campaign.

Titled Portraits of Spring, Linzi’s art performance will run across the 29th, 30th and 31st August and will be located on the Ground Floor at the main entrance (near Woolworths) for all shoppers to behold as they arrive.

Inspired by Karrinyup’s new Summer Spring fashion campaign, the Portraits of Spring ‘live’ mural is expected to be as floral and fabulous as this year’s fashion trends.

The Portraits of Spring ‘live’ painting performance is the first-ever of its kind to be held at Karrinyup Shopping Centre and is expected to be a visual feast for onlookers, said Claire Ridley, Marketing Manager of Karrinup Shopping Centre.

“We couldn’t be more excited about Karrinyup’s new Spring Summer Campaign and couldn’t think of a better way to bring it to life! Just like flowers in Spring, the floral mural will grow each day and eventually develop into an incredible piece of artwork for shoppers to enjoy!” concluded Ms Ridley.

Linzi Carter is a young contemporary Australian artist, born and raised in Cunderdin, a small wheatbelt town in WA. Over the years, she has become most renowned and sought after for her ‘live’ painting performances using Japanese graphics, street art and textiles as her major influencers.

“I am thrilled to be collaborating with Karrinyup Shopping Centre, as part of their Spring Summer Campaign. The Portraits of Spring mural will be the perfect way to bring the Spring season to life as shoppers arrive at the Centre!” concluded Linzi.

Linzi Carter also teaches art workshops at her studio in Osborne Park and regularly visits schools and other community events.
