Next year Perth Symphony Orchestra will once again present Symphony by the Lake on Saturday March 8th. Following the success of last year, Perth Symphony Orchestra invites you to join them for a night under the stars.
Under the baton of Jessica Gethin, Perth Symphony Orchestra will immerse you in a diverse program that includes a wide-ranging assortment of genres. From classical music to rock, jazz and film scores, Symphony by the Lake is guaranteed to be a truly enchanting experience for the whole family.
Experience a live orchestra as you have never heard it before as the stage comes alive with over 120 musicians, and guest artists including End of Fashion front man Justin Burford and soprano Amy Manford.
Esteemed concertmaster Paul Wright will not only lead the orchestra but also perform the emotional theme from the film Schindler’s List as a soloist.
PSO will be joined on stage again by the combined Scotch College / PLC choir and the incredible Scotch College Pipe Band who will perform the theme from the film “Last of the Mohicans” with the orchestra.
Whilst food and beverage options are available, patrons are encouraged to bring a picnic basket and a bottle of wine for a beautiful night under the stars surrounded by friends and family.
As gates open at 5pm, the Scotch College Jazz Band will welcome people as they arrive to picnic on the grass. The Perth Symphony Orchestra will take to the stage from 7pm until 9.30pm.
The concert, presented by Foundation Partner of the PSO, AHG, and hosted by Scotch College will again be held on Scotch College Playing fields.
