My name is Dudley Lewis and I am an artist who has lived Newcastle for most of my life. I would like to invite you to an art exhibition I am having in conjunction with Newcastle University Archives at Lovett Gallery.

My exhibition is titled “Telling Tales…Hunter History, Simple Stories and Perfect Pictures”.

The stories are illustrated in sketch by myself and through pictures of the origins of the Hunter Region from the Newcastle University Archives.

I will be proud to see the exhibition opened on 15 August 2014 by my good friend Dr Cliff Hosking. Having the showing open through to 30 September 2014 will have an added advantage of being open through the school holidays.

There will also be activities for children including stories to educate and entertain, period costume dress-ups and drawing pencils and paper.

Opening – 15 August at 5.30pm to 7pm
Lovett Gallery
2nd Floor, Newcastle Regional Library
Laman Street
Newcastle

Exhibition then open
Monday to Wednesday 9.30am to 8pm
Thursday, Friday 9.50am to 5pm
and Saturday 9.30am to 2pm

Many thanks
Dudley Lewis
