2014 has seen The Love Junkies tour Australia four times, play their first international shows in Singapore and Vietnam, sign a deal with German-based label Siiick Records for their releases in Europe, and release their self -produced “Flight Test” EP with lead single Chemical Motivation.

Hot on its heels, The Love Junkies are now excited to announce the release of their new single “Television” and upcoming second album “Blowing On the Devil’s Strumpet” (due for release September 5 through Bütsikatsic Records and MGM Distribution), with a nation-wide tour to showcase their new material.

Recorded and produced at the haunted Astor Theatre in the Perth suburb of Mt Lawley by the band’s guitarist/singer Mitch McDonald, sophomore album “Blowing On The Devil’s Strumpet” introduces a new phase in The Love Junkies song-writing. Bringing together the explosive urgency of previous singles 'Chemical Motivation' and ‘Maybelene’ with some raw skilful melody, “Blowing On The Devil’s Strumpet” is a rollicking grunge-infused collection of songs… and just when you think you have it all figured out, it takes you on a whole new journey.

“The Love Junkies have proven to be one of Perth’s most exciting and consistent bands over the past couple of years and seem to just be getting better and better with each milestone they pass.” - Kane Sutton, The Music

“The Love Junkies killed it at our Unearthed showcase…they brought their A game from Perth. I reckon they played the loudest set at the Unearthed stage too.” – Dom Alessio, triple j
