WA Roller Derby v Murder City Roller Girls (Adelaide)

WA Roller Derby is hitting 2014 hard with a big interstate bout against Adelaide league Murder City Roller Girls! WARD’s A Team the WARDs of the Skate will go up against Murder City’s Homicidolls in a transcontinental clash.

WARD had a huge 2013 with two trips to the east coast to battle four different leagues. This year we’re bringing it home – inviting Murder City to come share WA’s white sandy beaches and quad skate action. Get out your Hawaiian shirt, bring your grass skirt or throw on a retro frock, let’s dust off summer with a big Tiki themed game. Just don’t let the skaters’ clever names and short shorts fool you – these athletes hit the track with a hard hitting, competitive spirit. Be there to see the biggest interstate derby event this side of the Nullabor.

About roller derby: A full contact sport played on quad roller skates, roller derby has enjoyed a grass roots revival in the 21st century. The plays are real, the hits are real, this is not your grandmother’s roller derby. WA Roller Derby is a proud apprentice member of the Women’s Flat Track Derby Association (
