Discover Melbourne’s Aboriginal and early history through Koorie eyes as you view significant sites and landmarks along the banks of the Yarra River, Birrarung Marr (River of Mists) and Federation Square.
Led by a Koorie Heritage Trust Guide, visitors will be taken through the history and development of Melbourne from its Koorie roots. Travelling back in time, discover the interconnection between traditional and contemporary Aboriginal culture.

Gather at Birrarung Wilim (Common Ground) Aboriginal art installations and venture into Federation Square, where visitors can learn how Melbourne’s landmark Federation Square, a platform for civic and cultural expression, unites Aboriginal traditional use of the land with the contemporary setting of a modern city. See Melbourne with new eyes.

The 60-minute Urban Koorie Tour begins at the Federation Square Melbourne Visitor Centre and runs twice-daily Monday - Friday from 8 December onwards.
