‘A Pop-Up Wine + Foodies Paradise’

Sunday 26th October will see the return of the very popular Wahroonga Food + Wine Festival to Wahroonga Park, Coonanbarra Rd, Wahroonga.

“For our 2014 event we have carefully selected a wide range of exquisite wineries. On the day you can meet the winemakers and taste and buy their premium and award winning wines. Taste over 130 wines from more than 30 wineries and enjoy an array of local produce and a huge selection of gourmet food stalls offering a variety of international and Australian cuisines.

The Champagne Taittinger “Champagne and Oyster Bar” will take pride of place in the centre of Wahroonga park this year and this exclusive bar will present the talents of 2012 MasterChef contestant Mindy Woods, serving her delicious seafood tasting dishes designed to accompany a chilled glass of Champagne Taittinger.” says Margot Natoli, Festival Producer.

“We have also introduced additional cuisines this year with signature dishes from Wahroonga’s finest La Zana restaurant, Thai by La Thai, Mexican by Cantina Mobil, the legendary Urban Pasta Van, Spicy Indian dishes by Spice Villa, gourmet hot dogs by Woofy’s Grill and the best veggie burgers by The Veggie Patch. Also on the menu will be grilled seafood tasting plates, pancakes by Gourmandise de Paris, Hunter Valley Cheese Factory platters and for dessert, Danish pancakes, Lush Berries, Serendipity ice cream and coffee from our hand selected gourmet food venders." says Margot Natoli, Festival Producer.

Regional produce market stalls will line the flowerbeds and walkways with olives, olive oils, fresh flowers, organic fruit and vegetables, jams, honey and puddings, so bring your shopping basket.
The event is free and all are welcome. Bring friends and family to enjoy live music on the rotunda in the park, a kids’ inflatable ride and our petting animal farm from the southern highlands. Wine tasting packages start at $25.

The festival also features local side-show events in high profile dining establishments within the Ku-ring-gai municipality. Top Ku-ring-gai chefs will team up with selected winemakers to hold ‘Meet the Winemaker’ dinners. Argo Restaurant, Reel on Redleaf, The Cooks Garden, La Zana Restaurant and Kiplings Garage Bar will all stage a wine and food event in October as part of the event festival program, so check out our new look website for full program details:
