In celebration of Wollongong’s finest new live music venue opening its doors, we’re throwing a massive launch party to show Wollongong what Washed Out is all about. With the fresh artwork of the legendary Jack Irvin plastering our walls, four massive bands, anthems spanning all the way from the 60’s to now being spun all night and outlandishly cheap drinks, what reason do you have to not come & check it out?

Headlining the night are the unstoppable Lunatics On Pogosticks who have had a whirlwind year appearing everywhere from Falls Festival to Live It Up. Playing alongside the likes of Dune Rats, The Jungle Giants, Grinspoon and Birds of Tokyo, 2014 promises to be a massive year for the Lennox Head boys. Having just dropped their latest single ‘Less than Sober’, the guys will be bringing some fresh tunes to the Washed Out live stage.

Central Coast indie-pop dudes sea legs are making the trip down south for the party. Currently making quite a name for themselves, they’ve recently appeared at Mountain Sounds Festival alongside Ball Park Music and Jinja Safari, and have shared the stage with big names such as DZ Deathrays, Violent Soho and British India. They’re hitting the road in celebration of their latest single ‘Take A Little For Yourself’, currently getting some significant attention on triple J, and are stopping by the ‘Gong to continue these celebrations.

The rest of the line-up consists of some our favourite local acts. Having just released their latest single ‘Guilty Love’, The VANNS will be kicking off their single release tour at the Washed Out launch party!

Sheerkhan will be opening the live proceedings on the night. An exciting and dynamic local band who have somehow managed to produce a raucous blend of “spaghetti-western surf psychedelia”, a spectacle that has to be seen to be believed.

Our fridges are stocked up with all your favourites including Sailor Jerry’s, VB tinnies, cider and all that other good stuff, and happy hour will get you cheap drinks from 9-10PM.

Tickets are on sale now for $15 via Eventbrite, which be on sale tomorrow! With a smaller, more intimate capacity, be sure to grab your tickets quick to avoid missing out.

Come down and check out what Washed Out is all about.
