So, you've finally come out of hibernation after a long winter and are considering venturing out of the house... what better way to spend your time than to enjoy a night of semi-acoustic alt-rock / pop with three fantastic acts?!

A Rioting Mind is the brainchild of songwriter Camilla Sullivan and lead guitarist Libby Ferris. Formed in 2014 the band have spent 2015 bringing their dark and ambient 90’s inspired sounds to venues around Melbourne. Their music flies between reverb and delay-drenched ballads, to crunchy, gritted teeth-angst alt-rock jams. Tied together with dynamic song writing and tight guitar work.

Trees for Ruru is the solo project of Dunedin-bred singer-songwriter Leah Rangi. She uses conventional and quirky instruments, loops and vocal harmonies to create lo-fi dystopian alt-folk/pop. Her sound has been compared to the likes of Catpower, Warpaint and Anika Moa. Her songs are filled with dark humour and sarcasm that expresses dismay for capitalism, racism, sexism and the apathy of modern society.
