The enigmatic frontman from iconic Aussie band Chocolate Starfish is returning to Far North Queensland for a special one night only show at The Reef Hotel Casino this December. Adam Thompson always puts on one hell of a show, transitioning from rock, to outrageous pop and showmanship that can only be described as mesmerising cabaret. Joining Californian soul band Allensworth, Adam will be wrapping up the massive night of entertainment on Saturday 5th December 2015.

Adam Thompson is no stranger to bringing his solo show to Vertigo Cocktail Bar and Lounge. One thing is for sure, audiences are in for a real treat. From Adam’s outstanding vocal performances on stage to his larger than life personality, this exceptional performer will once again wow North Queensland audiences with highly entertaining show!

This acoustic intimate performance certainly doesn’t mean his show will be toned down by any measure. Instead, it will give audiences a glimpse into the ‘real’ Adam Thompson - they’ll be captivated by his immense skill as a musician, while still being highly entertained by his on-stage persona!

This ARIA-award winning singer will take a journey back through the hits of the Chocolate Starfish days, including the people’s favourites You’re So Vain, Four Letter Word and Mountain and throw in a couple of extra tracks guaranteed to delight all music lovers. A consummate musician, Adam hasn’t stopped performing, whether it is his solo shows or back with the band. Adam isn’t a stranger to North Queensland either and it’s not just his performances at Vertigo Bar that make him almost an honorary local. His own personal project ‘Muso Magic’ takes him around the country, and quite often up to the tropics for extended periods of time. His ‘Muso Magic’ project has seen life take a different turn in the last half a decade, and to the impressive musician it has been a turn for the better. Rather than playing gig after gig in every pub and club around the country and releasing albums for the sake of it, he’s formulated the perfect balance that enables him to take his music to the masses in a unique way.

‘Muso Magic’ sees the singer songwriter traverse the breadth of the Australian countryside taking music to the corporate arena, universities, sporting teams and remote Indigenous communities where he works with people to write their own songs. With about 35-50 workshops a year, it keeps him pretty well busy full time. This means that Adam’s live gigs are very much based in enjoyment – he chooses where and when he wants to play, and both he, and the audience, get a lot more out of his performance. He hand picks his gigs and ensures he only chooses those where he is 100 per cent passionate about performing.
