There are those who choose to stand up and make a difference. Undoubtedly the most inspirational film of the year, this is a study of Malala Yousafzai, the young Pakistani school girl who was shot in the head by the Taliban for speaking out on the importance of girls' education. Malala not only recovered but went on to win the 2014 Nobel Peace Prize. Her speech to the United Nations has gone on to become the stuff of contemporary legend with its challenge to us to resist injustice wherever it is found.

Davis Guggenheim, the director of An Inconvenient Truth, has crafted a film that shows Malala as an ordinary girl, and suggests that ordinary people have within themselves the potential to transform the world.
