Join Saxton for an unforgettable evening to celebrate 50 years of the spoken word in Australia. Hosted by Mike Munro, you will be inspired and entertained by a diverse group of 22 of Australia's leading speakers and performers as they take you on a journey through history and into the future.

Presenters include some of Australia's best known personalities, reflecting Australia's rich and varied history in the fields of:

Business: Mark Bouris, Rod McGeoch, Gary Pert and Steve Vamos
Sport: Layne Beachley
Media: Ita Buttrose
Economics: Satyajit Das and Chris Caton
Innovation: Rachel Botsman, Megan Quinn, Craig Davis and Remo Giuffré
Exploration: Graeme Joy and Tim Cope
Health: Michael Carr-Gregg
Peace Activism: Gill Hicks
Illusion: Vinh Giang

As part of that history, guests will also be treated to musical performances from soul singer Darren Percival, beatbox phenomenon Tom Thum, singer-songwriter and current INXS frontman Ciaran Gribbin, and award-winning vocalists, Anthony Callea and Tim Campbell.

Following the event, audience members are invited to attend a networking after-party at the MCEC's brand new Community Hub, where they will have the chance to meet and speak with the presenters. After-party entry is included in the ticket price, in addition to a commemorative gift and champagne on arrival.
