On Monday 26th January 2015, all Western Australian’s are invited to watch the sky light up over Ashfield Reserve in Ashfield for the annual Town of Bassendean Australia Day Celebrations featuring the spectacular Fireworks.

The safe, family friendly atmosphere offers a great evening out with activities commencing at 5.00pm and wrapping up at 9.00pm. The community event will feature live music, a mini sideshow alley with carnival rides, children’s art and entertainment with the magical

Fireworks taking place at 8.00pm. Performing live will be Timothy Nelson and the Infidels, a band who has long been considered Perth’s ‘folk and roll’ darlings. They will be ably supported by up and coming indie rock band Tired Lion. Plus guests will be kept in hysterics by the MC/Comedian for the evening ‘Famous Sharron’. Once again Radio Station 98.5FM will broadcast live from the event, producing yet another impressive soundtrack to accompany the Fireworks.

Attendees can bring a picnic or purchase food and drinks from over 20 food trucks on offer. Parking is strictly limited and attendees are encouraged to walk, ride, catch a bus or train, or car pool to the event. Cyclists can park their bikes in the free secure on site ‘Bicycle Valet’. This event is proudly supported by Lotterywest, 98.5 Sonshine FM, and the Eastern Reporter.
