Jodi Tweed, Event Manager at Reed Exhibitions says, “This is the first time Better Homes and Gardens Live is visiting Perth, and we’re already overwhelmed by the amount of support we’ve been receiving from locals. We’re predicting tens of thousands of Western Australians to attend over the three day period, and the entire team can’t wait to bring this interactive and unique event to a new crowd.”

The Food Stage will make your stomach rumble as Fast Ed prepares a gourmet five-course feast that will be sure to transport you away from Perth and into the exotic Greek Islands. The dinner party challenge will make you feel as though you have landed at a tropical destination, all in under 30 minutes. Fast Ed’s secret to his fast-paced cooking style will be later revealed in a tell-all cheat guide to entertaining. The three-course menu will feature a three-step bouillabaisse, followed by a no-fuss roasting method, sous vide, and finished off with a mouth watering chocolate-caramel five-part dessert platter, all made in just three steps! Karen Martini will also be featured on the Food Stage, prepping recipes that will knock your socks off, including a Korean-style fried chicken favourite.

For all you DIY-enthusiasts, the DIY and Building Stage will be sure to get you motivated for your next project. Interior Design Editor, Gavin Kirk, will talk you through the latest trends and quick fixes which will be sure to transform your home in a matter of minutes. House Rules Winner, Adam Doville, will follow with multiple presentations, such as explaining the process of building tool boxes, lolly jar dispensers and a cheese board that is sure to impress your next dinner guests.

The Decorating and Craft Stage will also inspire and delight the interior-design enthusiast in all of us. Demi Harman, the newest addition to the Better Homes and Gardens team, will get you motivated with a DIY vintage woven wall hanging, while Deputy Editor of the Better Homes & Gardens magazine, Dora Papas, will let you in on styling tips that will transform your cluttered bookcase into a fabulous room feature. Tara Dennis will then show you how to add a pop of personality to your home, showing you easy ways to turn your walls, furniture and even fabrics into interior works of art with typography, graphic and photographic techniques.

For those seeking advice about furry family members, be sure to see Dr. Harry on the Gardening and Pets Stage. The animal-lover will guide your decision on choosing the best dog to suit your family with two shows daily. Dr. Harry will also have an additional show dedicated to those wanting a pet that differs to the standard cat and dog with his presentation on alternative pets.

Jason Hodges will also be running presentations on the Gardening and Pets Stage, sharing his secret tips and tricks to help every garden. Plus, if you have any pesky plant questions be sure to visit Gardening Editor and Expert, Roger Fox, for his interactive Q&A shows.

Better Homes and Gardens Live offers everything that homeowners, creative cooks or green-thumbs want and more! The event will also play host to interactive and intimate master classes that will give you the opportunity to learn and work alongside these iconic experts.
