Do you feel adrift in the seas of social media? Not sure how to promote yourself/your writing in a digital space? Which platforms are best for writers? Do you really need hashtags? How do you say what you want to say in 140 characters or less? How do you make your content engaging?

This introductory workshop will give you a guide to the basics of social media for writers: what to say, when to say it and, most importantly, how to say it in a way that reflects you as a writer.

Heather Delfs is a writer, scholar and digital content creator. She writes fiction, non-fiction (memoir and life writing), theatre and the occasional poem. She tutors and lectures in Creative Writing and Literature at the University of Western Australia. Infrequently, she tweets and blogs about writing and family. Follow her @barefootthink.
