Foul Play Presents the South Australian Premiere of Eurydice By Sarah Ruhl.

A devastatingly lovely exploration of loss, life, and death. A raining elevator - a water pump - exposed rusty pipes - a River of Forgetfulness - letters from the underworld - a room made of string.

Eurydice by Sarah Ruhl presents the audience with a new perspective on the Greek myth of Orpheus and Eurydice, with the role of the protagonist in this version given to the female character. Eurydice’s father, a character inserted into the tale by Ruhl, introduces the themes of male vulnerability, memory, loss, and Eurydice’s ultimate dilemma of choice - which she must overcome.
