Shorehaven at Alkimos is celebrating the official opening of its magnificent new Waterfront Park on Sunday 8 February 2015 – and you’re invited!

Slip, slop, slap and head to Waterfront Park on Portside Promenade at Shorehaven from 9am for a morning of beachside fun.

The crew from hit92.9 will open the festivities with a big BBQ breakfast and the chance to win great prizes, with hit92.9s breakfast crew hosting a Hang Ten mechanical surfboard competition and the special Grand in the Sand – where you could win $1,000 to get 2015 off to a flying start!

You’ll also find a great selection of tantalising treats available for purchase and free family activities and entertainment including giant games, face painting and even a pirate ship bouncy castle.

In evening, as the sun goes down, Waterfront Park will come alive again for a relaxed twilight picnic from 5:30pm to 7:30pm. Bring along a basket or buy some fabulous food including gourmet hotdogs and Mexican from Los Amigos. Then settle back to enjoy live music, zorb ball games, giant bubbles and more – great entertainment for the whole family.

Wanneroo Mayor Tracey Roberts will lead the formalities with the official opening of Waterfront Park just after 6pm.
