The idea behind Feathered Heads is to get up-close and personal with Australian native birds and show the beauty and personality of each bird.

For the last three years, award winning photographer Angela Robertson-Buchanan has been meeting and photographing birds that have either been rescued, are an ambassador for their species or endangered.

Angela has spent many painstaking hours in aviaries using a macro lens. The result is some eye catching intimate close-up portraits of some amazing birds.

About the Photographer:
For the last 3 years Angela have been a finalist in the Australian Geographic Nature Photographer of the year competition, which is launched by the South Australian Museum.

She has just had a children's book published about a Lorikeet chick she raised and released.
Angela is a dedicated wildlife carer, specialising in birds.
