Sydney Olympic Park Authority and Auburn City Council have again joined forces to present an Australia Day 2015 celebration to remember. For the first time, the family-friendly Australia Day 2015 festivities will take place at Cathy Freeman Park.

Approximately 5,000 Sydneysiders are expected to attend the Free event from 12noon to 9pm on Monday 26 January. The jam-packed Australia Day 2015 program will include a variety of food stalls and rides from 12noon, live entertainment from 2pm and a dazzling display of fireworks at around 8.50pm to finish the festivities.

Off-stage entertainment will include sheep shearing, whip cracking, sheep dog trial shows, an animal farm, pony and amusement rides, roving performers, Indigenous dance and craft workshops, face-painting and a community bazaar.

On-stage entertainment will kick-off at 2pm with an eclectic line-up of dance, music and performance, including indigenous and multicultural performances.

The Official Ceremony will include Local Citizens of the Year awards presentation and a welcoming ceremony of 50 new Australian citizens.

Frank Lakoudis from The Voice will fire-up the crowd before the spectacular grand finale fireworks to cap-off Australia Day 2015 at Sydney Olympic Park.
