Australia's biggest grantmaking conference returns in 2015, with the Australian Institute of Grants Management (AIGM) Grantmaking in Australia Conference, to be held in Melbourne on Monday, March 23.

The conference, now in its 11th year, attracts grantmakers from right across the government, philanthropic and corporate spheres as we continue to work to drive best practice grantmaking forward.

This year's conference carries the theme "Knowledge is Power". We are zeroing in on data and information and, while we're not getting all "egg-headed" we will examine the practical steps grantmakers can take to make sure they are sharing in the potential of what data and information have to offer.
In short, we will ask how you can turn the data you have gathered into real, useful knowledge.

Presenters will include:
Michael Weinstein - chief program officer of the New York-based Robin Hood Foundation
Kate Frykberg – chair of Philanthropy New Zealand and executive director of the Todd Foundation
Julie Reilly – CEO, Australian Women Donors Network
Anthea Hancocks – CEO, Scanlon Foundation
Susy Jones and Marguerite Davie – Office of Communities Project and
The 2014 AIGM Grantmaker of the Year, Carley Commens, as well as the announcement of the 2015 award winner

The conference will be followed on March 24 by the AIGM Local Government Tribal Gathering - a half day event of interactive presentations on topics relevant to local government grantmakers – and our SmartyGrants Masterclass on Standard Fields and Reporting.
