The Hervey Bay Orchid Society Is holding it's Annual Spring & Garden Show and invited orchid societies from Bundaberg, Childers,Maryborough and Gympie will be competing with Hervey Bay & each arranging a display stand for judging. In addition to this, Fraser Coast Bromeliad Society, Fraser Coast Bonsai group and Fraser Coast Regional Council Orchid House will have display stands. Many commercial Orchid Nurseries will be selling a vast array of orchids and all your necessary horticultural supplies. As this is our Yearly Fundraiser, we will be selling raffle tickets throughout the weekend with our Major prize being a Flight & holiday to Lady Elliott Island including 2 nights bed & breakfast and a glass bottom boat trip. Smaller raffles with prizes including Flowering Orchid plants and garden necessities will be drawn throughout the show. Children are encouraged to attend as we will have a Show Special of a Flowering Orchid for $5 and a competition to be one. entry is $5 and includes a Free Devonshire Tea/Coffee. Children under 12yrs. are Free Entry. Plenty of parking and the hall has easy access for the disabled.
