Homage to Amedeo Modigliani by pianist Andrea Pellegrini and saxophonist Mirko Guerrini.

The compositions are dedicated to Amedeo Modigliani (1884-1920), one of the greatest and most loved Tuscan painters of the 20th Century. Pellegrini's scores reveal a jazz which is fascinating and evocative, inspired and influenced by the art of Modigliani and by Africa, a common presence both in jazz music and in the paintings and sculptures of Amedeo Modigliani. Guerrini, friend of Paolo Fresu and Stefano Bollani, is known on both Italian and Australian musical circuits, where his music has been showcased at many local Jazz Festivals in recent years. A free event, do not miss out!
