Justice Crew and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles to Make a Racquet At Kids Tennis Day Presented By Nickelodeon.

Game, set, match! Tennis Australia and Nickelodeon Australia are thrilled to announce that ARIA chart toppers, Justice Crew will wow the crowds and “let the good times roll” at Kids Tennis Day presented by Nickelodeon, taking place at Melbourne Park on Saturday, 17 January 2015.

“We’re so excited to be a part of this year’s Kids Tennis Day – we’re going to serve up an ace performance!” said John Pearce from Justice Crew. “It’s going to be a memorable moment for us to perform alongside tennis royalty and not to mention our Nickelodeon buddies – Raph, Donnie, Leo and Mikey from the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.”

Now in its third year, Kids Tennis Day is a national event that brings kids and families together to celebrate and share in the excitement of the Australian Open. Nickelodeon’s big kid presenters, Luke and Wyatt will host the event alongside SpongeBob SquarePants, Patrick Star, the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Dora the Explorer and Diego, who will act as ballkids for a friendly exhibition match between the biggest stars in tennis. On the outside courts, kids will have the chance to experience tennis and play ANZ Tennis Hot Shots – Tennis Australia’s official development program.

Throughout the day, a number of tennis legends and celebrities will dust off their racquets and charm the crowd on Nickelodeon’s ‘Wreck it or Racquet it’ court. Kids will also be able to enjoy Nickelodeon’s Slime Time Live Show, Dora’s Dance Party Live Show and SpongeBob SquarePants: Stories from Bikini Bottom Live Show, which will take place on the Garden Square stage, as well as activities such as face painting, balloon artists, autograph signing and photo opportunities.

In the lead up to Kids Tennis Day 2015, Nickelodeon will host events at each Emirates Australian Open Series tournaments including: Hopman Cup Kids Tennis Day presented by Nickelodeon (Perth – 4 January), Suncorp Kids Tennis Day (Brisbane – 4 January), Hobart International Kids Tennis Day presented by Nickelodeon (Hobart – 10 January), World Tennis Challenge Kids Tennis Day presented by Nickelodeon (Adelaide – 11 January) and Apia International Sydney Kids Tennis Day (Sydney – 12 January).

Kids Tennis Day takes place at Melbourne Park, home of the Australian Open, on Saturday, 17 January 2015 from 8am to 1pm. Tickets are available from www.ticketek.com.au/kidstennisday (Adults: $15, Kids aged 3 – 16 are free).
