Throwing much-needed light on the needs of children with disability in Vanuatu and Papua New Guinea, award-winning film-maker Kasimir Burgess joins us in this world premiere screening. Recording research into the human rights, needs and priorities of these children, it explores disadvantage and barriers, as well as hopes and aspirations for the future and allows these children to speak for themselves. The research work was funded through the Australian Development Research Award and delivered in partnership with Save the Children, the Vanuatu Disability Promotion and Advocacy Association and the PNG Assembly of Disabled Persons. This event is part of The Light in Winter Festival 2015.
