International touring 10 String Guitarist & Maton Endorsed Ukulele Player, Matthew Fagan takes you on a vibrant musical journey with a magical repertoire that crosses from Spanish Classical & Flamenco, Celtic, Latin, Bluegrass, Folk, Blues, Rock & Contemporary Music with highlights from CD “One Day in Nashville” and new CD’s Virtuoso -A Homage to My Ancestors & Ukuleleland.

A particular highlight of Matthew's performance is his virtuosic hit rendition of J.S Bach's Toccata on Celtic Steel String Guitar which featured as the climax on the final episode of series 1, December 2012, on the Australian ABC TV1 Television Production "A Moody Christmas".

As a touring musician, Matthew has followed in the footsteps of his Grandfather Milton Parkes and Great Uncle Cecil Parkes Australia's child prodigy in the 1920's who was personally chosen by Dame Nelliie Melba as her star attraction on patriotic Australasian tours.

Matthew has toured with international celebrities Natalie Cole, The Original Buena Vista Social Club, Billy Connolly, Shirley Bassey and Michael Crawford . The 53 night tour with Billy Connolly was so successful that Billy presented Matthew with one of his prize banjos at the end of the tour and was quoted saying "Matthew is the best guest artist I have ever toured with."

A special feature of Matthew's shows are his entertaining and hilarious performances on ukulele already a hit at Australian Festivals. Matthew is endorsed by Maton to present the best quality Australia made Ukulele . Matthew takes you on a Voyage around the Ukulele with highlights from his new CD Ukuleleland recently recorded in the U.S.A. which includes the beautiful music of Spain, Latin American, Gypsy and other fun world music tunes. Even rock & shredding guitar, Fingerpicking, Bluegrass, popular contemporary and folk music feature as part of the show, as seen on tour with Billy Connolly and the Buena Vista Social Club.

Matthew loves to perform for audiences and is entertaining, engaging and encourages audience participation in hilarious situations. This includes Matthew's own "guitar challenge" where he performs a medley of under 15 audience guitar requests spontaneously in his show. Stories from his life of travel and entertaining are a special feature of his show.

Audiences are continually amazed, re inspired, and even become converted fans of the Ukulele after seeing Matthew Fagan's performance on the Ukulele.

"Matthew has a Latin Soul and we love his playing so much that we want to take him back home to Cuba" Ibrahim Ferrer- The Original Buena Vista Social Club.

"Matthew performs with charisma and a gentle humour that people love. He is affectionate with the audience and wins them over with his unaffected charm. He's a natural". - Zelda Cawthorne, Journalist
