Fresh off the UK comedy scene, alternative comedian Matthew Highton is renowned for his surreal storytelling. This year, however, Highton is uncharacteristically steering towards the truth with his aptly named new show, ‘Good Luck Sleeping Jerks’, which has just completed a successful run at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. Trudging through the past and his stormy relationship with his father, Highton offers an enthralling and uplifting comedy that left some Fringe audiences in tears. Based on his plethora of sleep problems and “enough jaw-dropping tales of violence that could probably make him a Yorkshire Tarantino” (Steve Bennett, Chortle) this charming and unusual show will leave you gripped, laughing and aching for more.

'Fascinating in parts, moving in others, and there's plenty to laugh at too.' - Time Out London, Critics Choice

'Delivers a compelling storytelling show from his real and unusual life.' - Four Stars, Chortle

'An hour of pleasurable listening with bags of laughter and heart'. - Four Stars, ShortCom

'Disorienting, bizare and rather brilliant.' - Four Stars, Broadway Baby

'Shaggy-haired maverick raconteur.' - Four Stars, Three Weeks

'Wonderfully surreal.' - The Guardian UK
