Join UMI Arts and its Members at the official launch of Freshwater Saltwater: Celebrating UMI Arts’ 10th Anniversary. All welcome!
This year, UMI Arts proudly presents its 3rd annual curated Freshwater Saltwater group exhibition at UMI Arts Galleries. The “Freshwater Saltwater: Celebrating UMI Arts’ 10th Anniversary” exhibition features an array of works by 21 Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander member artists, who all have blood-line connection to the Far North Queensland region.
Freshwater Saltwater showcases the rich artistic diversity of Far North Queensland’s Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander artists and communities. In 2015, Freshwater Saltwater: Celebrating UMI Arts 10th Anniversary is sub-themed to celebrate the organisations milestone anniversary.
This year, members have “raised the bar” on quality and the pieces featured in this exhibition will not disappoint. From large-scale sculpture to vivid works on paper, finely detailed ceramics works to stainless steel 3D pieces and everything in-between.
Freshwater Saltwater 2015 showcases members and their works allowing guests to share in and explore the unique styles, stories, connections and works of the region.
