On The Grid: Dear Plastic, Amistat, Matt Glass & Support

Sat 28 Nov 2015, 7:30pm–1:00am

Where: Scratch Warehouse, 271 Macaulay Rd, Kensington, Victoria

Restrictions: 18+

Listed by: On The Grid

On The Grid is a different type of live performance event. Limited tickets and a comfortable setting mean that the people lucky enough to be in the crowd get a real intimate experience with some of the finest musicians in Melbourne.

Dear Plastic are a 5-piece Melbourne band - part avant pop, part trip hop. Homemade textured beats and lush, dark soundscapes, with 'baroque' vocals that are world-wary and velvet one moment, shimmering and playful the next. You might like us if you dig Radiohead, fondly remember Portishead, or enjoy that weird feeling you get when listening to Scott Walker.

Amistat is formed by twin brothers, Josef and Jan Prasil. They are easily recognizable for their acoustic set, heard on the streets of Melbourne. Originally from Europe, the brothers reunited in 2013 to rekindle their music. Back from Europe and playing On The Grid for their first performance back in Melbourne!

Matt Glass broke out onto the scene with his debut album Famous Last Words in 2011, with the single Setting Sun leaping to number 1 on the Triple J Unearthed Roots Charts. Making a name on the Melbourne underground scene performing at iconic venues such as The Espy and the Wesley Anne with his band.

Jackson Quinnell is a solo artist from Brunswick, he's been playing and performing for many years but only recently decided to take his music to the masses. We're looking forward to hosting Jackson and his Bon Iver vibes at On The Grid's first event.
