Faster, steeper, higher, deeper - the Banff Mountain Film Festival’s Radical Reels Tour is coming back to Canberra!

Catch the steepest and deepest in high-adrenalin outdoor sport films when the 2015 Radical Reels Tour comes to the National Film & Sound Archive Canberra on November 20. Hurtle down steep untouched powder, ride a hectic knife edge ridge, suffer through a desert tower epic, and much more at the 2015 Radical Reels Tour.

Growing from the largest and most prestigious mountain film festival, the Banff Mountain Film Festival World Tour, Radical Reels screens the most dynamic action sports films, audience-tested and programmed for maximum excitement. The judges are always on the look out for films that feature a fresh approach, a new sport, and a radically independent spirit.

Sharpen your ice-axe and don your crampons for some serious ice-climbing action in most unlikely of places in Desert Ice. Sufferfest 2 sees the return of odd couple Alex Honnold and Cedar Wright as they push themselves and their bikes on an even more brutal quest. Adrenalin enthusiasts will feed their addiction, as they watch expert speedflyers take on the huge slopes of Alaska in style in the film Unrideables. Take a trip on the Little Red Bus with a bunch of French clowns who will expand your horizons and blow your mind as they highline, paraglide, BASEjump and generally fool around. Explore the new sport of SMX, a hybrid of BMX and skiing that will take your breath away as two pro-riders push the boundaries of possibility.

Grab your tickets and hang on to your seats as we present the world’s best action films on skiing, boarding, climbing, biking, wingsuiting and more – all brought to life on the big screen.
