Live music lounge tops Town Hall for spring.

Locals and visitors can kick-back on a New York-style rooftop venue complete with garden furniture, a bar and live music from some of Sydney’s finest artists at Sydney Town Hall this spring.

The Terrace, on the Druitt Street side of Sydney Town Hall, will present free performances for everyone from 18–27 September as part of Art & About Sydney.

Inspired by New York’s rooftop renewals, The Terrace features a garden design from local design duo Amber Road and music for all tastes and ages, from soul and rockabilly, to 80s, electronica and hip-hop.

Lord Mayor Clover Moore said The Terrace reflects the theme and spirit of Art & About, transforming unusual spaces into fun and welcoming gathering places for everyone.

“Art & About Sydney heralds the start of spring, which is the perfect time to come and enjoy live music from some of our finest local talent at The Terrace,” the Lord Mayor said.

“Our new Art & About program is about activating public spaces year-round that surprise and delight city workers, residents and visitors.

“September’s rooftop terrace is a chance to get above the crowds, enjoy new sounds and take a moment to relax in the middle of the city.”

The Terrace opens from 5pm–10pm each night, except for Sundays 20 and 27 September (3pm–8pm).

As well live music performances, DJs will play from 5pm during the week so visitors can come straight from work and relax on The Terrace with a bite to eat and a drink with friends.

The Terrace live music line-up features:
